July Monthly Meeting - New Format





Monthly Meeting is this Thursday, July 27, 2017.


Starting July our meetings will have a new format.  

4:30-5:30 pm  - Sew/Socialize (in Kitchen Area)
5:30-6:30 pm - Business Meeting / 
                Show and Tell (in Auditorium)
6:30-7:30 pm - Program (in Auditorium)

July Program:  
Demonstrate how to
make half square triangles or rectangles.
Everyone bring examples of their tecnique

Don't forget to bring items for the free exchange table.

My Favorite Quilting Blogs - What's yours?

1. Tall Grass Prairies Studio - This is Jacquie Gering's blog.  It is just fantastic.  She has great insights

2. Film In The Fridge - Very creative modern quilts and lots of inspiration. Ashley has lots of great tutorials for quilts, clothing and things to make around the house.

4 - Cluck Cluck Sew - Allison has several projects and patterns.

5.  Heather Givans AKA Crimson Tate - Very fun blog.  Fabric Designer for Windham Fabric.  Lots of tutorials and shop.

6.  Diary of a Quilter - Amy Smart

7.  Don't Call Me Betsy - Elizabeth Dakson - author of paper piecing workbook and has some great tutorials. 

8.  While She Naps - Abby Glassenberg - She has an excellent Podcast  

9.  Crazy Mom Quilts -  - Amanda Jean - Her blog is awesome and she has great tutorials (Trisha).  Author of No Scrap Left Behind and Co-Author of Sunday Morning Quilts.

10.  and .. last but not least.. The Modern Quilt Guild - The Mothership.  Lots of great information but for members, it is a gold mine.  to the modern world of quilting and some free patterns too.
